Melitza's Love of Art was Influence by an early age which began with the Original Flash Art and Concert Posters of the 60's while growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area. "Bill Graham presents at The Filmore & Winterland always had the most colorful and flashy!" I grew up in a family of seven kids my Mother and Father were extreamly instrumental and forever encouraged any form of creativity, many styles of self expression and anything artistic. Our household was a project in process whatever the hobby or interest!
A Native of California, Melitza works with several mediums including Pen & Ink and Acrylic on Canvas. She now, breaks out on the scene with more of her own organic styles. Each peice is a completely unique creation from start to finish!
"My art is partly about mood. My Current mood, one past or something drawing. I try to create timeless peices with a touch of humanity, that people can relate to. History repeats itself as do so many of my themes, forms & the shapes I choose. I love drawing circle's and the moon shape. Crosses & Flames are also evident in my work. These figures seem universal to me. They speak to more then a handfull of people & cultures and also are pleasing to the eye. Simitry is also in focus. One doesn't have to be an adult or seasoned Artisan to appreciate my stuff. You may find it to be colorfully-light, mysteriously-serious, Playfully-innocent or... simply...just "Art"! That vision of which is in only...The eye of the beholder."
